Things to consider.
1. Knowledge of basic mechanics.
2. Experience in engine building.
3. Tools required to do this work. (alot)
4. Someone available to help that has experience.

I understand your wanting to do the work and I commend you for wanting do it yourself. Saying that, there are many small details that go into building a reliable engine. The easy part is saying what you want. Good luck going forward.

This for sure. I’d love to tackle a lot of challenges on my own, but I know the limitations of my capabilities and usually don’t have the time nor energy to tackle them. Usually just end up paying someone way too much money but in the end I get the peace of mind I want.. hope that helps.
