2SS/RS and a Baby

Hey everyone. I found out recently that I am going to be a dad. If there is anyone out there that has had an infant car seat in the back of their camaro please respond. I am searching for an infant carseat that will fit and be "fairly" easy to access. I am hoping there are other people out there that may have some insight for me.

I have seen a badass "Simpson" brand child seat but it isnt rear facing so I cant use it until the child is over 1 year old and over 20 lbs......damn.

I already told the wife that I am not trading my Camaro in for a mini van....NOT HAPPENIN! She laughed and said "you are keeping your motorcycle and race car and camaro, but we are trading my cavalier in for something better." I told her once we get some stuff paid off and bank some money.

Yep...I brought my son home from the hospital in an SS. It is a little tight at times but do-able. Its really not bad .....four doors are better I guess, but not near s fun!

Time to sell the Camaro and buy a Trailblazer SS.
You make your wife drive a Cavalier?

Several on here have used them. I have twins in front facing seats in mine. They are in my car daily. No problems at all and they love it. The only seats we have ever used are Britax seats. Work well, very safe and last.

No she has had the cavalier before we got together and it is almost paid off, so WE decided to keep it until we can put a hefty down payment on a bigger vehicle along with trading her car in.

I love my camaro....not a trailblazer

Some people couldn't care less on what they drive. My fiancee drives a Malibu with close to 200k miles, filthy as all get out, barely runs, she's driving it until it dies and then buying a Honda or something to last for a long time. She makes more money than I do, and she spends more money on clothes and shoes than I have in my entire 26 years on earth. Don't get me started on purses, makeup, etc.

That said, I take meticulous care of my car. I also spend a lot of money on entertainment, gadgets, etc. Different strokes for different people. I've offered many times to help her pick out a new car (believe me, she can afford it), and she just isn't interested right now.

Buut with front facing that means they are out of the "infant" stage of the game though. To me it looks like online the infant seats will take up more back seat real estate and may be difficult to squeeze in there.

Correct. Several people on here have used front facing though. Just have to wait for some of them to post up in here.

You are correct, rear facing means the passenger seat will have to be moved most or all the way forward. You will also have to watch where you park because the long doors on the Camaro will have to be fully open while you perform gymnastics to buckle the kid in.
In can be done but it won't be convenient.
Congrats dad!

Cavaliers were last made in 2005. You're still paying on it?

I had a front facing and a rear facing in my Camaro (daily driver) no issues, my wife could site in the front seat, both of my girls are front facing now the only issue I have is my girls are growing so leg room is getting smaller and smaller so I will be adding a 2013 Equinox for my lineup in a few months.
