You know, watching that initial launch on the dirt....the Camaro just spun tires all day.... Going to bet that on dirt, the tires played a bigger role in the outcome than I first thought...

The Michelins do have a better grip on dirt than the Goodyears, not to mention it's still a size smaller than the Camaro, not to mention not as nearly as wide...

The 1LE is clearly the superior track performer but what's going on with the GT's higher speed acceleration?

DOHC's tend to breathe better than OHVs at higher rpms. Can't remember if the GT had the 10AT or M6, but if 10AT, that also helps it out a bunch on the top end.

The Camaro is in highway gear after~135. Mustang not until 155+

The mustangs done at the end of 5th gear. If they ran the race for a mile and a half the camaro would have passed it.
