The Volt is an engineering feat that hell, even the Fisker Karma essentially legally copied it. The only shortcoming of that car is the price. But that's to be expected because of all the technology that it has. An example of price justification for technology: you don't see Apple iPhone 4S' selling for $50 bucks unless somebody broke it.......

good video seeing the history...but yeah, sit back and look at the current global GM. They came from the US and they make US jobs directly and for sure indirectly, but globally they are huge still. I for one would really rather see those jobs here vs all over the world seeking cheap labor. I know, the industry I am in does the same thing. I understand the corporate 'why'.

Most are built in Ingersoll, Ontario - however, about 70,000 bodies are built at Ingersoll - and then shipped via truck to Oshawa where they're painted and then go thru final assembly.

Are you including the ones built in other countries that are only sold there and not exported to the USA? I think the percentage of GM cars sold here that are built here is much greater than 30%.

I have always been a BIG Camaro fan, didn't pay to much attention that it was a Chevy product. After seeing this video, I'll make sure I let everyone know that I'm a big fan of the Chevrolet Camaro from this point on!

I watched it on TV a long time ago. Great film. Our own fbodfather even got a role in the film. Then again, he is one of the top 10 most influential employees to work for GM.
First rig I ever drove was a '48 Chevy pickup during hay harvest when I was 12 years old.
