The guy told me his wheels chattered just a bit and his brakes got too hot, I saw this happen from the front viewing plaza....sucks big time for the guy but if i recall correctly he had insurance!!

The guy didn't pass me on the brakes like he was having a brake failure and I certainly didn't give him a point-by. It looked like he got impatient in traffic, had never driven the track before, and passed on the inside. He was going slow enough, but took a horrible line. If you look at his wheels, they aren't even at an aggressive steering angle.
He didn't even have enough sense to drive on the low side of the track and get off it. I'm sorry he messed his car up, but he looked out of his experience level. If bad brakes played into it, then it shouldn't have been on a speedway to start. I'm glad he had insurance.
