Won't happen!

CAFE is going to have a lot to do with the design of all cars in a couple more years. I think the Camaro will be somewhat smaller and lighter to meet those standards and will have to offer a smaller FI engine.

The birth of the Gen5 Camaro was such a huge deal, I know that GM won't take that lightly. The story behind the creation of our Camaros is truly awesome, and I know that the next gen will live up to the hype. And I highly doubt that it will be taken off the 2nd gen platform, but that's just my opinion.
And to each his own, but I don't think the 6th gen Camaros could be any sexier than the current ones. I'd love to be proven wrong, but I don't think that's gonna happen. If it surpasses the Gen5, I'd buy one. But I'm going to be hard to sell on that. I will not get rid of my Gen5 for it, though. I'm way too attached at this point...

If the gen 6 is based on the gen 2, I'd buy a Mustang instead. I hate those cars.

Honestly, it should be a development of the 5th gen but smaller and lighter. I don't think we will see much of a HP bump. I unless GM puts out a few more V8s, I don't see how they will have a SS and Z/28.

I feel the 6th gen will still use some of the same styling cues the 5th uses. But even more modern interpretations in a smaller lighter package.

Chevrolet did a great job with 5th generation of creating a car that younger are attracted to while still appealing to those that remember and love the '67 to '69 models. There is a lot of speculation that the anticipated drastically changed next generation Mustang will lose a lot of its baby boomer followers. Hopefully Chevy can continue to appeal to all markets.

It depends on what year of Mustang you are talking about. The 2013's taillights are designed after the 1971.
