Would you get it?

Would you pull the trigger on a new ZL1 1LE at $70,548 less $1000 in rebates with a trade value of $51,000 on your 2017 ZL1 with 5000 miles?

Is that an offer of $51k or just what you looked up on Kelly Bluebook?

The man spends more time at the track than anywhere else, it seems.

Wouldn't it be cheaper to convert yours into a 1LE? Unless you just want to roll up and grab new keys and not deal with installing the different front end, suspension bits, rear wing, and new wheels/tires. Maybe if you were paying for retrofit labor it would probably be a wash. At that point, might as well just get the 1LE.

I would think if you put that 19k difference into your car you'd come out with something more impressive than a 1lE

The trade is what they offered. The pricing is GM supplier, nothing special. I am seeing the same care at dealers near me on Cars.com for 72,000.

The caveat...This one had a hole punched through the bumper requiring a whole new piece and paint. Yup. Now what do you say. And no, Rye I don't think I want to go down that road. Already had the rear wing on it for a day and sold it once I ordered the 1LE.

It's not a question of the 1LE or standard. It's more of a question if you think the deal is good enough to pull the trigger considering price and trade. I have no problem with the 1LE that others have. I could care less what it feels like driving down the road.

I guess I was hoping for better pricing from GM after effing up my car that was ordered 10 months ago.

It doesn't sound like a bad deal. A good bodyshop should be able to paint that bumper correctly and nobody'd ever know. If that's the only flaw with the car and you feel they're qualified to fix it (And they do it on their tab), then I'd do the deal.

I appreciate your input on the trade. That's where I was left a little confused. I thought when I was first speaking to them they were offering mid to upper $50's (which, admittedly I thought was high).

Appreciated. The car was fixed today. I haven't seen it other than pictures but the owner of the dealer is a friend and he says it looks good.

Its an OK deal, you can get the car for less, but then the other dealers will give you less for yours, see if they will trow in some free diff and trans oil changes, to help you out from looking at bad paint work, LOL.

I wouldnt. The difference is $18,548 plus 10% tax (depends where you live). So lets call it $20.402.00. Plus you get to have instant depreciation on another car when you drive off the lot. Take the money and pimp out that lowly ZL1 to be a track monster.

$5k for New ZL1 1LE suspension
$5k for New Forged 19" wheels and tires.
$10k for whatever else you want done.
