OH this weekend. I ran with NASA last year same weekend. I have a buddy who will be there running his burnt orange BMW (TT2 I believe). Yeah Saturday looks like a mess but hopefully Friday and Sunday will have some dry sessions. It sucks to book these weekends and then have it rain. I have 3 days with MT next weekend and will be perfectly happy if I can get 1.5 days of dry track. Really no desire to run WG in the rain. Those barriers are close to the surface

Good luck with the weather! Be careful out there; there were more HPDE crashes at the Watkins Glen event I attended than at any other track event I've been to (at over 20 different tracks) and it was dry the whole time. This thread reminded me that I had not uploaded any videos from Watkins Glen. Here's my best lap:


I imagine you will be able to beat my time if you get some dry sessions based on your impressive blazing fast times at Road Atlanta and VIR Full!

I will be at NJMP this weekend too, but driving Thunderbolt with PCA Delaware. While we won't be on the same track, would be cool to meet ya and say hi. Maybe at the finish line pub. Shoot me a PM if interested

You should burnish your brakes with new pads to let the compound cure properly and transfer a layer to the rotors before track use (I was just reminded of this). The pads wear faster without burnishing them in.

In terms of the tapered wear that looks like you need to bleed the calipers. I have never seen that in hard use.

Great lap, I'll be running time trial with slicks of the weather permits. I do have to add weight to my car and run a full tank to make weight though. If the weather is good on Friday I'll try to do a fast lap on low fuel with SC3s

Yes, they're a few minute drive from each other. And Finish Line Pub is right smack in between them. That's the lunch spot -- and a drink when the track goes cold.

Thanks, slicks should be more exciting than stock tires! I think I had around 1/4 of a tank of fuel during my lap.

Also Watkins Glen and NJMP are about 6 hours away from each other so I think there's a misunderstanding about you guys meeting up in between.

Yep, my fault. Got my wires crossed somehow. I could've sworn Christian said he was going to be at Lightning this weekend -- which is the other track at NJMP.

The Glen is not close to NJMP
