Anyone remember the guy who bought an LLT magnetic drain plug from the help isle in auto zone?
Can't seem to find it, what part number was it?

lol, why do you need it to be at autozone? The website that gentleman has given you is a good one. I bought it from there, so did my friend buddylok. Don't know if the autozone one is the same, or if it is any more effective, but the gold plug is awesome.
http://spadesv6.blogspot.com/2010/07...r-own-oil.html A couple of images down, i show how much metal shavings get stuck to the plug. Worthy investment eitherway.

Maybe gonna pick up some air freshener and a set of buickholes, too. NAPA's got a real good plug also.

So something besides gravity might pull metal particles out of the motor (or is it "engine"?) oil. Just something to help that paper filter.

Basically, things that can go wrong with the car can come from many different places at the same time. Our cars are new, so it won't be breaking down too fast. But having the mag drain plug is just added insurance measures, much like picking the right oil and filters.
Exactly

Interesting thread - I checked for the Dorman #65372 and Amazon indicated it wouldn't fit - when filling in the Vehicle Make as a 2010 LT 3.6L for the V6 they indicated a Dorman 090-175 AutoGrade Drain Plug - This product fits your 2010 Chevrolet Camaro Engine: 3.6L V6 Gas DOHC Distributorless Naturally Aspirated SFI Electronic FI MFI
Trim: LT Fitment Notes: M12-1.75 THD List Price: $59.14 Price: $43.59 & this item ships for FREE with Super Saver Shipping. Details You Save: $15.55 (26%) In Stock.
