It doesn't matter what company they're being drawn for, they all tend to look alike. Since they already KNOW that look can't be produced, why not work harder and draw something that CAN be produced? The 5th gen concept car (not the drawings) was fantastic and I actually wish they'd been able to produce that exact car. They did pretty good though and got very close which is a credit to the team.

That concept car I created can be produced almost exactly as-is; just needs the appropriate manufacturing body seams and lines etc. If an artist can create a producible concept car that people really like, why not start there in the first place? Start with realistic wheel sizes and cabins people can actually get into and see out of, then go from there. You're not going to sketch something like that in 30 minutes which is probably why you don't see those kinds of concept drawings; you see these other quick-sketch styles instead. Speaking for myself I would get a lot more excited seeing concept cars that I knew I might actually be able to buy and drive because the designs are already within 95% of being production capable.
If you look closely, all it needs is the A-pillar rake adjusted and that would raise the roof line. It also likely doesn't have enough grill for anything larger than a 4-banger, but that's an easy fix.

Exactly. No offense to the originator but those designs are

An interesting feature of the design that caught my eye was the front end. If you notice that the lower front aspect has a curve that fades into open slots before it gets to the exterior of the car. This seems like a great design to feed air to the brakes, something road course track guys would appreciate.

People need to remember these drawings came to be the 2010 Camaro, and some were almost as far from the final product ( Lower left pic ) as I am sure the 6th gen will be from the ones in this thread.

really like the look of it except they need to ease up the rear qtr flares , the front I do not see how any air would make it into the engine, so the bottom would need to be a mesh type to allow more air in . The back looks really good ,

Then again, we've seen one or two more '2012 summer internship design contest' entries (e.g. the heavily third gen inspired illustrations we've seen here). I'd bet on none of those others being taken down from the sites hosting them.

Off to a good start with this concept. If released as is I would most likely purchase one but it could use some refinement.
