Really??? I have to spell it out for you?
I'll give you a simple math equation:2<4 (see post 152)

Dude its simple: AWD with near equal weight and horsepower will ALWAYS outperform it's RWD counterpart. Weather doesn't even matter if you look at that simple fact (common sense people)

Both cars's high performance tires are of course affected by the cold weather, but obviously the AWD car will compensate for the lack of traction much better than the RWD car. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure that out.

The GTR would win convincingly regardless of the weather, all I said was that under better and more warm conditions the ZL1 should be able to close the gap a bit.

Wow. Just answer my question...Do you think the GT-R's traction would increase as well in warmer conditions?

And by the way, 2<4 only when used on interval or ratio scales, not on nominal or ordinal. Just in case you try to use that for things other than the number of wheels on a car.

I guess this is one of those times your getting caught up in the numbers...
I'm betting that you do not know the reason why they use AWD in the snow.

Yes but only barely relative to the ZL1.

People are supposed to drive ZL1s with tires that are supposed to crack in 40 degree weather?

No they are not, that's what all seasons or winter tires are for.
they should have that optioned checked somehwere, I can already see ZL1 pole decorations in cold weather.
Unless it's a garage queen and get's it's life wasted in someone warm garage for 5 months out of the year lol

Gimme a break...scenarios??? The ZR1 is faster in the 1/4. No excuses, no scenarios

2.7 seconds 0-60mph
7.16 seconds lap of Nurbrging
11.10 second 1/4 mile
195+ mph top speed
?????
Sorry but where did you get these stats??? Link please. Because the GTR did not run the Ring in 7:16... how about a 7:24. The Viper ran a 7:12 and the factory ACR-X ran a 7:03. The ZR1 ran a 7:19. 12 seconds on the Ring is an enternity.

http://www.autoblog.com/2011/03/24/v...off-ring-time/

The GTR ran the quarter mile with an 11.2 and 0-60 in 2.9. It will do damage in the 0-60 time due to launch control and it being AWD. But after that it really doesnt hold well... just look at the trap speeds of the GTR, Viper, and ZR1. And as far as top speed, wll not really a factor to consider considering the Viper and ZR-1 are rated over 200.... but when will any of these cars really race to top end???

I agree. I promise you there is no way in hell GM would build a Camaro that would beat their flagship car... the ZR1. Sorry it isnt going to happen .
