ZL1 supercharger lid

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to clean the supercharger lid for the 2018 ZL1 Camaro? The car was a Florida vehicle and it looks like it has water spots on the lid.

You could try a 50/50 mix of water and vinegar let sit for a couple minutes and rinse, if that is not strong enough there are water spot removal products that are harsher. I always start simple and delicate then move up to stronger products.

Hey Nightfall, add some antifreeze to your top reservoir. It’s low!

Maybe the reason for it being low is those "water spots" Maybe it isnt water

He's long gone. Last seen a year and a half ago.

Doh, haha ok thanks! I want to paint it, but don't know how to tape everything else off, so I'll try that vinegar idea.

Where you able to get the water spots off? I have the same problem and the vinegar did not work for me.

Thanks

A more expensive option but one that will require significantly less work to maintain over the long run is to have the lid custom painted.

I bought a custom-painted lid from RPI Designs back in 2018. I just wipe it down after each wash. It looks just as good today as it did in 2018 when I installed it.

Or chuck it completely >> https://www.mechanicalpower.net/shop...ercharger-lid/

The powdercoat I chose is a wrinkle finish and zero spotting.
