Check out http://********.com/index.php?cPath=1_75 they make a great system for the Camaro along with an amp for the other speakers.

I added a powered sub to my car. I have the BA system. I also bought the factory amp replacement harness as well in hopes of replacing the amp one day

First thing is swap out the AMP, it like night and day! Lots of other things to change after that.

Replacing the amp alone makes a huge difference. I did mine in stages, and when I put the amp in, I couldn't believe how much better the stock speakers sounded.

Just want to clarify. You do not need the X3 cable unless you want to install a subwoofer?

Perfect, that link is where to find it? And is the amp plug and play or will I be cutting wires? I just figured some 6x9s witg tweeters would change the clarity big time but I will start with the amp

my .02 is buy a 5 channel amp(alpine has a small one). get a 10" sub. power the factory speakers and the sub to start with.

I have not done mine yet but this what I am going to do. then if I don't like the sound I will upgrade the speakers too.

No reason to change the head unit IMO even you want more clarity just add a cleansweep or something to the system.

now some might say dont' add the sub but I have never been happy with factory speakers and bass output. they just don't work well and usually distort too easy.

Everything to the vehicle harnesses is plug n play, of course the battery and ground are not. There is also a connection you can run up to the front for adjusting gain.

This is the system I installed for the sub. http://********.com/index.php?cPath=1_75_77

I've replaced all the speakers and added two 10" subs. I highly suggest replacing just the amp to see how you like those results.

Definitely try the amp first. I replaced all the speakers and added two 12s. The rear speakers are a pain in the ass to get to. I probably went through more hassle than I really gained in the end.

so thats a 12 and a amp, But this is not the amp that I want correct? I need a 5 channel to bump all the other speakers. Or will this do it?
