Thumbs up La auto show - finally got to see the 6th Gen

After all the hype and looking at pictures online I finally got to see a 6th gen in person yesterday .

All I can say is the car looks gorgeous. Since I own a 5th gen I hate to admit it but the 6th gen does look better and more modern. The interior is very nice, my favorite part is how the wheel says camaro.

The 5th Gen brought back the legacy of the Camaro, now the 6th Gen will carry it on and hopefully break new sales records. Hope everyone enjoys there 6th Gens and I can't wait to see and hear them on the road .

Went to the LA Auto Show today. There were no cars that we could sit in though. The Silver car was very nice but it had Silver custom paint, not production paint. Spoke with Sergio with Chev that welcomed the positive feedback. He said Al O was there a few days ago. I offered that it would be very nice to have a flat plane crank to rev it up and he understood. Overall Sergio was very knowledgable and helpful. The LT1 was very nice and it was dissected so I could see enough. They had an LT4 too nearby for the Caddys and Vette. We also liked the Caddy CTS with the LT4, Recaros and Brembos. The Caddy ATS with LT1 was cool too.

I think this car has the red knee pads on the doors and dash for the people who don't know what they are. I like the ones on the door but prefer the black on the console I think.

Are you sure you'd like to trade torque everywhere for revs? I wouldn't.

Pdoherty972 - I really agree with you that I would rather have the torgue because it is more important than revs. But what if there was a way to have both? NASCAR engines can do it I suspect. They rev up to 10 grand. But I would rather have the torque. I think the flat plane crank is an interesting idea. I had a 70 Boss 302 that would rev to 7500 but the torque sucked so I sold it. I wanted my FE 390 427 head Cougar GT back because of the great torque at 3200 rpm. Now clearly the 2016 Camaro is an excellent configuration that runs like a GT40. The dynos show about 410 hp and 410 torque to the wheels. The 2015 Z28 has about 450/450 to the wheels but is heavier. No doubt, the 2016 SS will run similarly. The bang for the buck is terrific and the styling is superb. It is a drop dead great combination. When you have a gross 455 hp and trq, Magnetic Shocks, cool exhaust, a six speed, 3.73 gears, coolers everywhere, dual AC, ApplePlay, wide wheels and summer tires, good leather seats, it seriously contends to be the perfect car. Can't wait to drive one. None within 500 miles of LA yet. Bring on December and maybe we will see some!

Were at? I was at the LA auto show all day and there was no blue ss you could sit in... The only 6th Gen I saw was the one I took the pictures off. Infact it was the only camaro in the whole Chevrolet show case.

I was at the show on the 28th, there was a blue SS you could sit in (see my thread for details) but for some reason it was separate from the convertible. It was next to a blue 2nd gen all the way at the back of the Chevy booth, easy to overlook. Sorry you missed it, they should have made it more visible.
