Can someone please share the procedure to check this on OnStar and Gm Financial web pages?

I called OnStar and the woman acted like she had no idea what I was asking about? She did unlink my Dealer saying they may provide information to insurance companies but OnStar does not?

On the GM Financial page I can't find anything but my dealer is still listed under preferred dealership? And I cannot figure out how to remove it.

Not sure about Onstar or GM Financial however I went to Chevrolet.com and created an account. Downloaded the myChevrolet mobile app, logged in and had the option to unenroll from Chevrolet Smart Driver there.

Call Onstar again. Ask to discontunue Smart driver, and opt out of information sharing with third parties. If the phone assistant is unhelpful, ask for their supervisor.

Call 1.888.249.2763 for GM Financial. They also have a web page https://www.gmfinancial.com/en-us/pr...rivacy-us.html

Does the ZL1 or any Camaro have a top speed indicator on the dash settings? Like where your tire pressure and oil life is?

The Challenger had this and I was not a fan! Easily used against you in an incorrect situation. I reset it constantly. I would imagine they could pull the data where it was but like everything initial reaction rules.

I think you can cut the wires on a C6 and be rid of Onstar.

The 2016-2018 did not. I'm not sure about the 2019+, as it has a few more info and performance pages.

Didn’t the GTO have this? Or am I just thinking of the little chime when you exceeded your set max speed? There was no OnStar so no data remotely communicated.

Side note, my 2004 GTO just came back on the market. 70,000 miles (had 68k when I traded it for the C7 six years ago) and asking $24k 😩

I emailed the seller to buy it back, but that was before he told me the price.

How do you find out if Smart Driver is disabled. I don't remember it being even mentioned when I bought my Camaro. I paid cash for my car so GM Financial is not an issue. I get a lot of diagnostic shit from on star when I'm on the dyno. You know, Stabilatrac crap, the wrench showing up on the dash.

I was able to look it up in the Chevrolet app and was able to see that I was not enrolled.

Hi All , You get Smart driver and OnStar Diagnostic reports from Chevrolet with your purchase of the vehicle for 10 years. Also the cars have a so called black box that records .
If I remember correctly it's on a 30 second closed loop and saves if an impact or Airbags deploy .
It's in the Owners Manual. Well Happy Motoring

Yes the chimes and all, but my point is now they are putting it right on the DIC, any anyone that see it, will only see a number.

And for good measure!!! 2004 > * other GTOs

And I wonder why my dealership Service Advisor was pushing Onstar free 30 day trials and getting free vacation kickbacks for doing it in bulk.

Sounds like you turned on Smart Driver. I was really alarmed at the tracking. I turned it off.

Ya my dealer definitely gave me the hard press on activating onstar.

Too yes that car's black box is going to tell on you in an accident any way but Im def gonna call and opt out of that 3d party sharing and disenrolled the smartdriver myself.
