SS Brake Line Options Update

Here's the latest update regarding stainless steel brake line options.

1. Goodridge just informed me that their lines will be ready for sale in 3 weeks. Price TBA
2. Techna-Fit are selling 2016 Camaro SS (V8) lines . Code Chev-2850 . Price $115 delivered.
3. Phastek Performance selling their house brand for V8 Camaro . Price $149 delivered.
4. No word from Stoptech

I cannot tell you which brand is better. They all have to qualify for D.O.T . Some brands could be better than others.

Good Luck

Goodridge makes a lot of the lines in the Brembo GT kits.

Does anyone make ones for an SS with the 6-piston Brembos, yet?

I wanna know this too.
I left same question a few times on Phastek's thread but didn't get the confirmation. I think ones for 4 piston Brembo should work on 6 piston, but since the OEM lines are different between 4 and 6, I just don't want to be a guinea pig.

I haven't done it on my Camaro yet so I don't know how hard it would be for this car, but generally it's not that hard - just couple of nut loosening and mounting the hose to something so it doesn't move around. (I've seen quite a few DYI guide on youtube for this)
Just make sure you don't splash brake fluid all over the place - those can/will eat thru paints.

Yeah it is pretty straight forward.

Only thing you do not want to do is over-torque the lines back onto your hard lines because those are a bitch to change. I've only ever seen one person do it so I wouldn't be too worried but it did happen.

I have a set of D3 ATS-V lines on my SS with 6 pistons, they've been working perfectly for a year now. The 6 piston SS and 1LE calipers have a different brake line attachment point compared to the standard 4 piston setup: http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showpo...4&postcount=56

I think the ZL1 might be different, similar to current-gen CTS-V calipers... but I haven't inspected one in person and just going off pictures of the CTS-V setup.
