Urgent!! Car died in the middle of the road!

I was driving and the car shut off and slammed to a stop. Tried to start and nothing girlfriend coming with jumper cables but a long ways away. This doesn't seem like a battery or alternator problem, more like a security thing. I'm actually blocking an intersection and they will tow me soon. Steering wheel locked so can't push and nothing at all works. Engine doesn't even turn over. Please help?

I have an m6 2012 45th ss, clutch was fully released, I didn't kill the car.

If a car shuts down it doesn't slam to a stop, it rolls! Slamming to a stop sounds like some sort of seizure in the drivetrain. And if the engine won't turn over we know its not the tranny! Not good! I don't think cable's will help..

Have it towed to your dealership. How many miles on it?

I don't have onstar. All stock. 15k miles, purchased new 2 years ago. Will they tow/fix this late (chevy)?

If its drive train related, yes. Just my opinion, OnStar is worth it.

How is the steering wheel locked? isnt that mechanical? if the key is in it it shouldn't be locked.

Best of luck to you.. Best you get it towed to nearest dealership than try driving it away.
