At some you have to compare the quality of the header vs the stock manifold. I would want to make sure I am really improving the car in every aspect or I’d leave it alone

I love the right sound/s. I would bet the real gains are only seen when you're making much more power than stock. I'm not sure how these engines respond to longtubes with HF cats, but I loved how LS1/LS2's did. That sound of the engine quickly decelerating between gear changes easily justified my money, then the additional power was icing on the cake.

Realistically our cars are seeing 25whp with no other mods besides the LTs. At $500 this kit is worth the money.

I think it’s a heck of a deal too! I just have a hard time justifying in my head getting rid of the AFM and deleting ALL the cats, not just the secondary, but ALL! Especially on a daily-driver, it’s gonna be loud as hell, regardless of what axle-back you choose!

You don't have to use all the piping. You could just use the front leg pipes where the secondary cats would normally reside and tie into the rest of the factory exhaust, retaining the AFM valves. You could also buy some resonators and tie them in to tame it down. Point is, at this price you have options to experiment and still have a decent setup on the cheap.

Just to throw my 2 cents in to offset some of the naysayers, I purchased their headers for my 5th gen, fit, finish, and welds were top notch. As well another Camaro friend had a set of ARH, and side by side, there was little to no way to tell them apart.

I am seriously considering these. It just so happens they also have longtubes for LS swaps in older trucks, and my brother is throwing a 5.3 in his 67 C10 in the next couple weeks. After researching reviews and comments regarding their quality, I don't see why we wouldn't both pull the trigger.
