Hydrofoam and the cold
Is it OK to use Hydrofoam as a wash in the cold (below 50) days?
Thanks |

I have used it in temps around 45* with no issues at all. I foam my car with Reset first, and rinse, to remove as much dirt as possible before touching the paint. If you don't have Reset, another shampoo that doesn't contain any wax, sealants, or gloss enhancers will do.
Then 1 panel at a time, wash with Hydrofoam/rinse/repeat. From the top down. When you have completed the whole car, do a pooling rinse. The water will roll off fast, leaving you very little to dry. The most important thing with Hydrofoam is never use it on a hot surface, or allow it to dry. You can use it in a foam cannon, foam gun, or spray bottle, diluted 9 parts water to 1 part Hydrofoam.

You'll really like Hydrofoam....For the time spent, not much more than a normal wash, you get 3 months of protection on your paint.
Check this guy out who actually uses it while it's raining!

Hey Joe, do use any drying aid on drying towels after Hydrofoam’ing? I do pooling rinse and blower but always have some left over water. Especially on the wife’s SUV. I have tried the Merlin’s mixture but not sure. Was thinking about diluting Hydrofoam in a spray bottle as the drying aid...

I wouldn't use Hydrofoam as a drying aid. It contains soap as well as protection, which needs to be rinsed off the paint before drying.
