+1 My wife complains that the console hurts her arm. She's short so she doesn't like the seat back all the way, thus the console lid is too far back for her to enjoy. I rarely have drinks in my car, so this item would be a nice solution. I'd just have to find a new place for my cell phone. Keeping the little woman happy; priceless.

One guy said he created one of these with fiberglass. I'm thinking what about that conforming foam that hardens. Would it hold up over time?

Where are you supposed to put your cups if you delete the cupholder? I need my big gulp!

You can still take it out and use your cup holder.

Hi. Just finished what is probably my favorite Mod. Ordered custom cupholder delete/console cover from DSVCustoms. http://www.dsvcustoms.com

It's black leather and white stitching. Couldn't be a better match if it came from GM.

DSV has a standard cupholder cover, but it has a cutout near the back that I thought would have been uncomfortable for my elbow. I really wanted a flush surface meeting the existing console cover so I could rest my arm and elbow for driving. As everyone has said, with the Manual the cupholders really can't be used anyway.

So I ordered a custom piece without that cutout area. DSV's work is unbelievably high quality. I really can't figure out how they make their stuff; the leather fit to the support structure and the quality of the stitching is great. Unfortunately what I got from them originally was sized too large and sat up too high against the cup holder area's edges. So it wasn't flush. Which defeated the whole reason I splurged for the custom cover.

This ended up coming out perfect in the end...though I had to do a lot of work to get it there. I spent a few hours this weekend opening up the stitching, pulling back the leather and then sanding the sides down with a dremel tool. A lot of testing the fit to make sure it would sit right once I re-wrapped the leather. Then I touched up the sides and glued the leather back in place. I am psyched about how it came out....the stitching lines up well and it's now perfectly flush at the trailing edge where it meets the armrest cover. It makes the whole interior look richer!!!

The DSV guys were really good work with; wanted to make me happy with the custom piece even though it didn't fit the way I would have liked initially.
It looks good, def not for me though, I don't mind cupholders they are very useful for cups and what not haha. May I ask why you wanted to do this??
