your car insurance should cover it under the collission coverage, less the deductible. but it will be on your record as a claim.

That sucks....Not sure car insurance in California will cover damage to tires, wear and tear item and good luck trying to get anything out of the city's here in California, they are all broke and will deny your claim...I deal with subrogation at my company and cities in my experience won't pay....

Man, that wicked sucks. I would document everything as much as you can, so you can hopefully recoup some of that cost. Over 900 bucks seems really high for just 2 new tires. Was that just for the 2 tires, balancing and mounting? Or, was there more to it?
Good luck. Last edited by tones2SS; 01-08-2013 at 07:34 PM. Reason: added text |

it's because of the tire (p-zero) and then being the only one brand who makes the tire size that will fit my wheels because the car is 2" lowered |

Dang - like others mentioned you can potentially try and file a claim with the city.
I have the same tires. Purchased from Discount Tire w/ replacement certificates for this exact reason. Low profile tires are easier to get a flat, and expensive. The coverage is worth it in my opinion.
