Pothole + 2 Flat Tires = $921.86 Arghhhh!!!
So coming home last night I hit a pothole that I didn't see AT ALL and blew out to of my tires, the bill came back and it's $921.86 (because of the tires size and type) so my question is has this ever happened to anybody and can you claim it on insurance? just figured id ask
ALSO what is the going rate for a set of stock wheels and tires (LS Wheels) because I am definitely going to need to sell mine, what should i ist them for so they sell fast? p.s. am i better off getting 20 inch wheels so tires won't be so expensive in the future? |

Sometimes you can get the city to cover the damages if you well documented the incident. Otherwise you will need to claim it on your insurance, or take the hit out of pocket.

LS wheels and tires are going for around 450 on here or less. Call the Department of Highways and file an insurance claim with them. We can here in WV so hopefully you can there as well.

Good luck selling your ls wheels and tires. It took me over a year and I was basically giving them away.
20" tires might be cheaper but even then, they might not be that much cheaper |

Get a road hazard warranty... It covers pothole damage.. Ask a local dealer... And negotiate a price, there is a lot of flexibility in the prices....

I bought some ls wheels and tires to use over the winter for $150+shipping. Looked brand new. Insurance should cover it, but you'll have to pay your deductible.

Goodness. You can buy four 18" tires for half that amount. I'm leaving my 18s on because the roads here are piss poor at best...

Yeah, there is someone local trying to sell their ls wheels and tires for $1k on craigslist. Been on there for a while.
To the OP - I would call my insurance agent and discuss. Sorry to hear, but not surprised after seeing a pic of your rims and tires. Low profile like that can't take potholes very well. |

The OP does is not running the OEM wheels ,he had the blowup on the aftermarket wheels , looks more like 22s , that's one more reason to be very aware to where you are going while driving , specially in CA
