You are just using technology, unless you post stuff like you are a 'real man' or 'real driver' because you have a stick. Those with such an attitude would be cheating using any of the tech, including no-lift-shift and launch control.

I didnt think id like it, but it makes slowing down in traffic so much easier. Also gets the attention of the tailgating texters that usually wind up behind me in traffic.

I wonder if rev match may extend the life of the clutch? Thoughts?

It definitely extends life of clutch especially if you're used to using a downshift to slow vehicle down.

That's the main reason I use it, trying to conserve the clutch in the event I have this thing a long time. Knowing me though it's probably a non-issue lol...

How well does rev match work in bumper to bumper traffic? Meaning can I just drop the clutch while idling without rear ending the car in front of me.

I might change a few lives here... But I hope you know we also have NOLIFTSHIFT.

Put the car in Sport or Track, make sure you're in traction off (long press until stability light comes on) or competitive mode (two quick presses with message stating you are in stabilitrak mode) Mash your pedal to the floor in any gear. DO NOT LIFT AT ALL or else you will meet your rev limiter... Hit 6k or above (you should be shifting at just above 6300 not at redline, engine isn't making power after that.. and pop your clutch while shifting as fast as your little heart desires. As long as your clutch play is correct you'll experience the quickest smoothest powershift you've ever experienced in your life.... Gap that poor mustang like a champ.

Also this may break a few egos. All your powershifts are bullshit lol, its the car not you bub! :P

When I do an NLS (in my '17 SS), the engine speed gets held at 6500RPM during the shift while clutch is disengaged. Does this match your experience with the feature?

If you drop the clutch while idling (and do nothing w/ the accelerator pedal), you're going to stall. Rev Match does not do anything under that conditions.

It's more for downshifts (from 6th to 3rd for instance), where it will match the engine speed to 3rd gear based on the trans output speed. Give it a try and it will be obvious how it works.

Agreed. I only turn it on by accident. It would be nice if you could take them off and out them back on when you sell the car.

No its not cheating, its necessity with our electronic throttles. Electronic throttles are not as responsive as a cable setup. Its hard to get a good solid blip unless you have a good tune. Until then the RM is a perfect addition.

I love the rev/match, it's so smooth and fun to use.

Sounds like some part of you is regretting buying an automatic transmission. You made that very clear with this post, you should better hide your emotions next time.

I'll have to see it, procharged now so the adrenaline is going haywire with the foot to the firewall lol. If i remember correctly mine would hold wherever I left off. I generally shift between 6300-6400ish
