New to Camaro5

My name is Chris, and I live in central Texas and have a 2015 Camaro LT (yep, V6). This is my first Camaro but not at all my first sports car build. I love cars and Harleys. I am, however, new to Camaro5, but I have been reading over tons of different threads and think that this is going to be an excellent place to get some good information and possibly meet some new people. The Camaro was a gift from finance and is about 95% stock. It has what I would consider a bit of high mileage, being at 130k and some change. But like I said, it was a gift that runs and drives excellent, so not a problem yet. I know she was extremely Thurow on services and maintenance, so there is that beautiful aspect. It's not a daily driver either, so that makes the potential even that more great. Well, I want to thank you for the acceptance, and I look forward to seeing what I can learn from everyone here.

Welcome!

Just FYI, a couple things with this direct injection motor. Keep the valves clean and I would also suggest running the oil made for direct injection engines too.

Welcome to the forums and our Camaro family!! It doesn't matter if it is a V6 or a V8, it is YOUR Camaro and enjoy the heck out of it. There are quite a few folks on the forums who will keep you in the know and on the straight and narrow. Cheers!!

Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5/6. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wives', husbands, girlfriends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

Welcome and congrats! Now time to change the timing chains and procharge the sucker so you can surprise some V8's who think "it's only a V6".

Welcome aboard!

My first Camaro was a BRM 2LT. Was a blast to drive.

Car was better balanced weight wise than my ZL1.

Thanks all

Thank you all for the warm welcome to the site. I also want to say thank you for the advice on the valves and I do plan on many mods coming. I kinda have this sickness where I can’t just leave them alone. I only have a few pics of the car because I am still doing before and after on a few parts so I don’t have pictures taken yet.

The red is a hi temp wrap that I love the color of and adds a little bit of exitment. I personally h8 the OEM gold logos so they were the first things that had to go.
