My recommendation is to get an LS3 vette (08 and newer). I think you can eventually find one with similar mileage for that same price range.

OP, what is your intent with either car? Weekend cruiser, daily driver?
I would go with the Camaro is doing shows and occasional trip to work is in order. Get the Vette if you are looking for a daily driver car and dont need a back seat.

I wouldn't go backwards to an older car, even if it was a better model, "better" being a subjective term.
If the car is going to be a daily driver, I'd go with the Camaro, but probably wait and get a new one or at least a 2015. |

+1 on this. Not worth getting an LS2 Vette for that much. Expand your search and go for an 08+ They are all over for the same price and the LS3 is much better in that car plus the TR6060 trans. The Camaro you have optioned is great too, but you don't plan on racing it and it will be a garage queen. I'd find a LS3 Vette imo

I get what you all are saying. If my car was a v8, I would have done everything that person has done to it so it makes it very appealing. The vette is a vette, nothing else really needs to be said. I was a little worried about the older technology in the vette but Im sure its nothing to be too concerned with..

I would be a little worried about a car being that heavily modified, whether it has been raced, driven hard, or had the mods improperly installed. That being said, like others I would save up and wait or expand your search criteria and get either a LS3 Corvette or a C6 Z06. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Owning both, if I had to choose between them, I would take Vette every time ... two different classes of vehicle. That being said, $27k for an '07 base, 1LT Vette is high ... one in perfect condition should run $24k at the most. Good luck with your choice

And for the vette, if money is the determining factor, I would even look for a c5 z06. |

5-7k more for a c6z06. That's an extra 100-150/mo for soooo soooo much more car.
