Been a victim of slow start issues since 2015 when the car was new.

Troubleshooting steps:
1) New battery- granted it was needed
2) New starter
3) DIY.com grounding strap - Both of them
Finally....
4) New Positive Post to Starter Cable - mine was showing a decent amount of resistance when tested.
a) This one was a bitch, as it is a discontinued part.
b) I had to call dealers in Canada as US had 0 units anywhere in the country.

Car finally locked up, would not start no matter how long I let ot cool off and had to get it towed.

This is what you should check if you have the slow start issue - dealer told me and sent a pic of an aftermarket kill switch spliced into the OEM harness. Check the spliced in wore that runs off to the right in the picture.

For the record, I bought the car New with 441 miles on it (demo car). I have also thought about a kill switch but never got around to it. Besides, if I did, it would be in a place convenient for me to get to.
