Will there be a CTH "Transformers Package" ZL1 ?

Will there be a CTH / ZL1 ? Sorry I missed the R in the word transformers in the poll :-( . I can't fix in now :-( Maybe a moderator can fix it for us please ;-)

I'm going to quote someone from the ZL1 convertible thread and apply the concept here in this thread about the CTH ZL1..

Even though I know in my heart that the CTH ZL1 is already a done deal, just like you all knew in your hearts that there would be a SC 6.2 camaro in 2012. I think the CTH option will be offered in all trim levels once again in Nov/Dec of 2011 after the July 2011 TF3 movie release.


It couldn't have been said any better besherman about the convert, thank you for the good choice in words! I hope you don't mind me quoting you and using the concept for the CTH ZL1 movement !

I dont really think there should be a transformers package on the ZL1, but def keep it for the SS since that is what is being used in the movies.
But maybe if they decide to actually use that bumblebee gold on the ZL1, then I say a Transformers Package would be cool. imo

adding the association of transformers with it would be stupid. the ss transformers edition is stupid enough.

Sorry, I am all for people having the option for the car they want, auto you bet, convertible, sure not my money, but a transformers edition? Right or wrong I say NO!! That, IMO, will water down the validity of the car. You want a transformers like car, get VY and black stripes.

Well if you look closely, what movie do you think this very same ZL1 will be appearing in July 2011.. It was already built for the movie long before it will become available to us. whether you like the idea or not I'm sure there will be one... Did you notice the similarities in the front end of the ZL1 and the camaro in the last Transformers movie ? Lets wait till and see in November of 2011.. And come back here.. I'll bet it will be done !

you might want to take a look at the ZL1 and bumble bee v3. BB v3 is the leno camaro, with ugly stripes and a ricey wing.

like i said it shouldnt happen the adding stickers that say "transformers" on a car and autobot/decepticon emblems, really takes away from the cars heritage.

I'm sure they would just do the door jams, the arm rest, the tiny little wheel caps, fender badges, and some ghost autobot emblem into the existing black ZL1 hood stripes, but not the words transformers down the hood like my car..

I have all different Bumblebee cars and toys here and almost all of them have the ZL1 front clip, even the one I got from burger king dated 2009.. So don't be surprised if they make the package for an extra $1000..

They will build it if it will sell.. Some of you forget how tied into the movie these cars really are.. You don't have to like it, but it is true.. Personally I love it.. I like the red one on the chevy website too !!!

I voted no because we have already had a Transformers Edition. I love mine and plan on keeping it a long time.

I voted yes, but only if they improve from what they did with the last transformers package, less labels/badges and maybe offer the actual colour! automatic,vert, transformer options, whatever lol i don't care just more options is always welcome IMO

Look at these toys.. They have the exact ZL1 front end. The car was made in BB's image not the other way around. So if you buy a ZL1 especially a yellow one you are already buying into the special "transformers" front end that all ZL1s are going to come with, and maybe the regular 2012s will come with the normal 2010/11 front end anyway who knows.

It doesn't take anything away from the ZL1 because the ZL1 has already been made from BB's image. Strangely enough 2 movies TF2/TF3 already have this car before we do. So if you buy a ZL1 be prepared for little 8 year old boys, mothers in vini vans, and teenage girls to talk about the transformers to you and ask about your bumblebee no matter what color you choose !

I guarantee there will be a CTH option whether you like the idea or not , and to the current CTH owners remember there are three movies there in no reason not to make sell another CTH car to commemorate BB in the 2nd/3rd movie because our CTHs look like the camaro in the 1st movie only, in the 2nd/3rd movies the camaro is the ZL1. In the movie TF3 you see the ZL1 with our current CTH fender badges. Now I agree if they could get the exact color that would be even better, but I'm happy with my yellow. Except for the fact that it is weak camaro paint that chips easily but that is on all of our camaros !!

My above post might seem kind of harsh ( I just read it and see how it could be taken that way) or like a hard core BB fan, but I'm really just talking OK, I'm not trying to start a big BB or not debate, or to put anyone in there place so, just look at the writing on the wall... or in this case in the 3 movies..

Hate to burst your bubble....but this is probably not the case.
