Andy,
Your intake, Jeff`s tune and better air netted 8 tenths since my last trip to the track w/ headers only no tune. I`d say it works!!!!

Thanks everybody! That is my car in the video! Did not know anyone else got me on tape. Very cool. One of the better runs of the day too. The z06 has heads and cam, we stayed neck and neck thru the 1/8th, he just had a little too much power for me on the top end. Nothing a Whipple won`t fix...

Nice video and cool matchups at the track. I love seeing lots of modern muscle at the track, rather than the rattle trap ,bondo and grey primer junkyard specials that litter the track down my way. Can't wait to get my Camaro to Jeff's for that tune. Always ment to get up to that track, too...just haven't found the time yet.

I ran a slew of 12.2x`s the best being 12.22@113.29 w/ a 1.84 60 foot on stock P zero`s, I also ran a bunch of 12.3x`s, and about 4-5 passes slower than 12.3x, 1 was a 19.18@56mph in the 1/4...blew the tires off and took a liesurly drive down the 1320... My best run was w/ a DA of -648 which means we had some great air.

I have a L99 w/ ARH Longtubes catted X-pipe stock mufflers, ADM Race CAI, and a Carolina Automasters Performance tune. Jeff from Carolina Automasters said the Trans Tune he has is out of this world. Let me tell you he aint joking... When I hit second the front end would pop up and spin the tires slightly. One guy there thought I had a manual the way it was shifting...

I ran this w/ a raceweight of 3985 w/ me in the car 1/8 tank gas on the stock tires and rims, rear pressure at 28lbs. I would hold the brake w/ the left foot stall it up to about 1200rpm and flash the converter and I was off... Man the car felt great today!

So for anybody that is thinking well I don`t want an L99 cause they are slow, think again! 3 Mods and its a beast compared to stock.

Big Thanks To Jeff at Carolina Automasters, Andy from ADM and Nick from ARH!

Her`s my slip:

Very nice pass, I was wondering what your rpms are shifting at on the shift points? My car is at 6200 and I think the 3 4 shift should be at 6500. Congrats

Pave 1,

Pretty sure all of mine are set at 6100rpm. I`d have to check to be sure though. The Car doesn`t make any more power past 6100 but I could see maybe running higher to get through the traps before shifting into 4th if possible or having the shift extension put you into a higher rpm when it shifts. The Car makes so much torque at such low rpms not sure that would really help or not.

I would suggest a track rental and playing w/ shift points at the track to see.

Had you ever ran the car bone stock before your mods? I read back threw and seen that with headers only you ran 13.0s.

No. I never had a chance to run it bonestock. Headers were here 2 weeks after I got the car. Middle of summer, figured w/ +2k DA days all it would do is piss me off in stock form. Plus things were kinda crazy at work then.

What are you doing over here slumming Mr z06 man... You are already MPH great, just need some better 60 foot action... Gears, tire whatever...

Hopefully the money will be right to be able to get the whipple, profit sharing isn`t looking as good as last year, we`ll see though, I may be able to finagle a few things or possible may have to wait a year.... :(
