Well, that’s fantastic.

And we are already on the October production schedule.

The numbers on the left, under national qty, are actually the amount that was allocated out in my area. It's not a true national number.

So, there were 2 regular ZL1s allocated in my area.

We received 2 allocations this week but I can only order as a 1LT/2LT or 3LT without the CE package. I am going to try and pick up a ZL1 or SS 1LE that another turns down though. Luckily, I've been able to do that with the 2 previous 2024 allocations that we've gotten.

Yep. The 2SS 1LE order that I placed on Tuesday has a TPW of 10/23/23. This weeks allocations will likely be November production(assuming they don't strike).

It's kinda comical / ironic for GM to release a MY24 goal of increased LT1 orders vs. MY23, and then see LT1s go on constraint..

Can someone educate me what the difference is between being at status 2000 vs. 3000? I assume once GM accepts your order (2000), they also have allocated the parts required to assemble your order. Therefore, what does status 3000 mean?

2000 is the initial status when the dealer actually gets your allocation. 2000 status is from thursday to tuesday(when the dealer has the allocation and moves your order from 1100 status). At 2000 status, the options and colors can still be changed by the dealer(assuming said options are available that week). Once at 3000 status, the dealer can't change anything on the order. That's also when GM will start to sequence the order internally.

Gearhead what are you typically seeing now for time frame from going 3400 to 3800 status?

That’s insane, there’s no way they are able to build more V8s than the 23 model year at the rate it’s looking. I hope they push production a bit further than January.

Yeah talked to my dealer today. My options finally go off constraint and then the 6.2 goes on constraint. Sounds about right.

Dude same, lol. My dealer had 2 2SS allocations but I am only interested in Riptide Blue and it was on constraint that week.

Talk about stupid. We got an allocation for the 56Z black forged 5 split spoke wheel. This is an SS only wheel. What we didn't get is an allocation for LT1 so that means that they just handed us an SS wheel allocation with no SS to order it with.

Just dumb.

How long does it typically take gm to accept the order from a dealer that has the allocation? I.e go from 1100 to 2000 status

It's up to the dealer to move the order to 2000 status once they have the allocation.
