Why are you looking to replace your current CAI?

Was thinking about it i just really like ZZPs products as well. I literally ask to get clarification 90% of the time like when i asked about Nitrous and their forged pistons or asked the two vendors about the E85 Flex fuel kits. I could've just emailed or called but that doesn't help anyone elses curiosity.

the issue is a weird idle on SOME cars. we have made some design changes to the whole intake, done extensive testing in house, and will be re-releasing the product here very shortly

We were able to replicate the idle issue in testing and correct it. Design changes are proprietary, but we are confident that we identified the issue and eliminated it. Wish I could say more, but there are competitors watching and we don't want to do their work for them.

Thank you for the clarification! I can totally understand and appreciate it being a proprietary issue. As long as it works going forward, that's all you can ask for! Hopefully you guys will have an easy time getting all the current owners sorted out.

That's my hope that they really spearhead the current customers with the intakes already. ZZP already has a lot of followers for their products and seeing them take care of an issue 100% for current customers will basically solidify them well above other manufacturers for the LTG.

every single person that has the 'old style' intake will be emailed about the revision, and emailed a shipping label to exchange the intake, at no cost to them. i pulled them off the site quite a while back, and i have contact info for everybody i want every single one of the initial run back. cant have a questionable product floating around out there!

I started using these guys nearly 20 years ago. The fact they are still going strong is a testament to their quality. I don't believe any of their stronger competitors are still around.

I've been using them that long as well! And I've been SCREAMING the same thing at the top of my lungs around here for the past year and a half!!!! Some people are finally starting to see the light! Sucks that so many people had to get screwed before making the switch. Live and learn I suppose...

Funny you mention competitors! Their biggest 3800 competitor, INTENSE Racing, is still alive and kicking as well! They were a decent group of guys at INTENSE as well. They were extremely nice when we drove out there on a Saturday many years ago to pick up an L67 long block, and they stayed late to meet us! The 3800 community really was blessed with rockstar vendors all those years ago!
