Black Wheels
So I want my car completley blacked out and I'm unsure what finish to get on the stock wheels. I hate seeing black cars w/ gloss black rims that stand out too much from the tire (even when they're gel'd up), but then I see flat black rims that blend with the tire well but look way too dull. I was thinking of going satin or possibly semi gloss black on the wheels to give it a little kick, but there really aren't too many real life examples to help me decide. I think with some gel on the tires this Challenger would be almost spot on (wheels still a little too dull for my tastes). I won't mind gelling the tires every week either, in fact I'd be happy to!! Any opinions/advice?

I had gloss black KMC "Sixty-Eights" on my 99 with a machined lip to seperate the blacks, I will be putting similar on my 5th gen.

Yea, but I don't want a machined lip... aaaaall black baby. I want this car to cause small children and adults with weak bladders to wet themselves.

I assume they'll be powder coated. Get them to do some samples of various black samples if they don't already have them available... Flat - Semi - Satin - etc.

gloss. then you can still maintain the by polishing and cleaning. if you do a satin you cant really polish or wax.

There's a shop near me that bakes their painted rims so that may help durability w/o making it impossible to refinish them 30 yrs from now.
