I feel like GM typically disappoints in the entertainment category. They may get it right which will be a pleasant surprise but if it falls short I won't be disappointed because I'm expecting as much lol

Camaro will be available with a 7" or 8" infotainment screen.

Based on this link, it will support both. According to the link, GM is working on development of Android Auto for the 8" system.

Have you used it to be able to make an informed comment like that?

I have - while driving & stationary, and I would not say it is stupid by any means.

Not only that, but the MyLink UI is a joke by comparison to Tesla's!

A couple more for your list:

* WiFi 802.11ac?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IEEE_802.11ac

* Is it LTE or LTE Advanced (Release 10 or later)?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3GPP#Standards

* Bluetooth 4.2 is the latest version...
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bluetooth#Bluetooth_v4.2

* USB 3.1 & USB Type-C FTW!
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USB_Type-C

* What are the screen resolutions? Tesla's Primary 17" LCD is 1080 x 1920 resolution, 12.3" Instrument display is 1920 x 720.

  • Android Auto Support
  • Bluetooth 4.0 Support
  • USB Connector type — are we going to get the new, reversible, USB-C spec? Seems like it would make life easier.
  • General UI design — during the live reveal, the infotainment screens were displaying solid colors, I believe, so this may not yet be finalized.

Comments?

OK...this is not the first thread here you've went on about Tesla's 17" screen....(which looks ridiculous by the way). Come on...you can't tell me you think that actually looks good? Sure...the rest of the dash is pretty nice.....and then you have that huge square chunk. Its a waste in my opinion.

Yes, I have used it, IMO having a giant screen is stupid, not to mention distracting during night driving. Toat your Tesla hard on elsewhere.
