Hopefully it the automatic doesn't have some of the same overheating problems the Corvette has on the track.

What he/she said is not a troll. There were severe problems with the auto tranny in the Corvette overheating on the track. It has been talked about at length on these forums.

Its true that a8 did have overheating issues in the c7, its possible the issue has been corrected in the Camaro a8 with all the extra cooling, I know GM recommend getting the manual on the c7 if you seriously intended to track your car. Personally if I was going to track my car I would 109% get the manual regardless of what GM suggested, but the closest I'll get to a track is the drag strip and that's where the A8 will suit me just fine and leave the Mustangs and Challengers sucking on my exhaust

1/4 track is where mine is also headed and .5 - .7 is not a drivers race it's getting whipped by 5 to 7 car lengths.

The car is truly amazing to drive and I can hardly wait for you to drive one and see what we're talking about.

We're never 'finished' working on Camaro............
The Camaro Six Team delivered the goods for sure. Can not wait to drive the new beast!! You can sit back and enjoy your retirement knowing the 6 gen is a awesome drivers car!!!

I have zero issues seeing out of my car. Not sure if you're looking for a full 360 view, but even in my SUV family car that has a million windows, I feel I can see better out of my Camaro.

Maybe stop positioning those mirrors to look at yourself all the time.

In general I know I am alone in this argument, but just don't see the issues everyone claims to be in place.
Totally agree with this! I am 6 ft and wife is 5 4"and neither one of us have a problem with the visibility with our 5th gen. Memory seats on our 6th gen are going to be sweet for us.

Yes, I am buying. I love everything about the new Camaro and I am glad I never pulled the trigger on buying a Gen 5.

That being said, that person was not talking trash. It is a legitimate concern.

I will add that Tadge said opt for a manual OR USE THE PADDLE SHIFTERS. People seem to leave that out.

The very aggressive shifting done in automatic mode does lead to more heat build up. You can still shift less aggressively in manual mode.

And the airbags deploying in hard cornering.

People tend to take a few examples and blow them out of proportion. Yes, Randy Pobst experienced it...once...and he didn't seem to think it was a big deal. A few of the Z51 guys have also experienced it, but the overwhelming majority of C7 A8 owners have not. I haven't had mine to the track yet, but I have driven it very aggressively for 2-3 hours on curvy mountain roads several times with air temps over 100 degrees. I have never come close to overheating the tranny. I know that's not the same as going 30 min. to an hour all out on the road course, but it does indicate that it won't be an issue for most driving conditions.
