Interesting. How did you get it off? I spent some time looking at that and could not see how to get it past the hood-latch lever (seems like the 5th gen's was shorter so it was easier).

If you unbolt the latch, you can manipulate it through the hole with the shroud unbolted. This will allow you to remove the shroud which also gives you a ton of room to access anything in the front grill area.

mark the latch; makes it easier when you put the latch back.

how is the quality of the camera? I was reading the reviews on the wifi unit and it said its not that good and the range sucks.

Is the wifi unit on or off when the car is off?

The quality of the camera is not bad for curb alert if you want to use it on the track there are other cameras available with high quality that works with the wifi transmitter

I have no problem with range we are talikung about 6 feet apart

The wifi turns off when the car is off

Camera is just fine to look at a curb.
Down side to this wifi phone thing is.........

You get into the car, connects just fine, works great.. Grab the phone to do a search or google maps, you get NOTHING, You have to disco from the wifi camera..:(

Thats why its better to have an old tablet or old phone dedicated for this
