I cant wait. I just hope the unveiling is as exciting as when GM did the ZL1. I still like how they intermixed retro and new into an unveiling.

Well it's March for goodness sake. Even with all the mindshare Mustang has, Ford still made it public in December of the prior year and so far it's worked very well for them. It's not like Mustang buyers are saying "I'm so tired of seeing the 2015...I'm nothing buying that old thing!!"

I'm sorry, as an old forum member who went through the original Camaro launch this made me actually laugh out loud, in real life, not just like LOL. It's not your fault you don't know who fbodfather is, but I can just tell you this:

He's one of us.

Don't feel bad about it. Honest mistake and gave everyone a good laugh.

Man I miss the preproduction 5th gen days

Those times were amazing, and man the community that developed off the 5th gen alone

Bring in the black suburbans!

I didn't know who he was, but new enough that he is someone in the know and highly respected here at Camaro5 and 6. I simply googled Fbodfather and spent the next hour reading articles.

Fbodfather, from what I have read, is one of those guys that loves his job, has great passion for it. Yes, I'm a little envious.

So Fbodfather - Hi sir - and thanks for popping in - you must be very busy this year. Just the other day I was looking at your statistics wondering how long you have been away from the forum.

p.s. Maybe when this 6th Gen is all said and done, you can tell us about the Gen3 Camaro spotted in Colorado a few months ago along with some camo'd verts.

That said, I do have a few problems with that fact. For years, I've wanted to know who was responsible for a lot of the problems with those cars from a serviceability and build quality perspective.
I worked on hundreds of Camaros, and those 4th gens were pretty flimsy in my professional opinion. In his defense, I'm sure there were better designs that were axed by bean counters, but these cars weren't cheap to buy either.

Well, I think build quality was a Detroit wide issue in those days IMO...just sayin.

That it was happening to Ford and Chrysler was no surprise to anyone. I expected a little better from GM. I wouldn't waste any money on the other two companies' products.

As opposed to the rock solidness of the 3rd gen? I believe many of the problems were inherited. In truth the only real issue I remember is the 10 bolt, which really wasn't a quality issue since it held the stock power levels fine. It just didn't hold up past that. So what issues are you referring to?
