Something I wasn't expecting was that the Camaro has a small section in front of the rear tires with a clear film to protect the paint. You can just see it in the first pic.

I installed the rear ZL1 addons deluxe rock guards. They went on great. Went to install the fronts and the tape did not line up with the fender lip. Called ZL1 addons and apparently I received fronts for a ZL1 which has a different fender. Sending mine back and they are shipping the correct ones. Very happy with their customer service.

I purchased some drain plug magnets for the engine and transmission. Also got a pack of four magnets for the oil filter. I got them from drainplugmagnets.com. Spent time talking to the owner. They aren't cheap, but VERY strong magnets. I figure it sure can't hurt!

Something new I got was this awesome light to use for paint inspection when detailing/polishing. This thing works great and will humble you. If you can get the paint looking decent under this light, it will look unbelievable to the naked eye.

Decided it can't hurt to add a catch can, so that is what I did. Went with the one made by UPR. I like that it has factory style push on hoses, a clean mounting system, billet check valve in the return line, and an impressive looking separator inside.

NOTE! The first catch can I received from UPR had an issue. When unscrewing the can the separator would get hung up on the lower fitting, so the can could not be removed. I called UPR and at first they were very defensive saying just to use the drain plug, etc. I pushed back and eventually talked with the owner. After some discussion and me continuing to push back he said I can send it back and they will send me their NEW design which eliminates this issue. I was a little frustrated that they were trying to unload stock of the older, inferior design. In the end, it is a very high quality piece and installed easily.

So if you order a UPR catch can for your 6th gen Camaro, be sure to say you want the LATEST design.

It is a good idea to use Loctite 242 on all the mounting screws.

Well I just HAD to do something to spruce up the interior! Went with the 1LE floor mats and the suede knee pads.

I also installed the ZL1 side rockers from ACS Composites. VERY happy with the quality of those pieces and the paint match to the splitter, mirrors, and rear blade spoiler is exact!

Here are some final pics of our 1SS 1LE that we made our own! I could not really decide which pics I like the best, so there will be a lot of them.

Nice garage! Floor coating looks similar to mine. What did you use?

Thanks. It does look similar. Diamond ground the concrete, then went with grey epoxy base, full coverage flake (white, grey and black) then a polyaspartic top coat. Had it professionally applied and very happy with it.

No, I just checked. Not sure what that light was picking up in the pic, but there are no chips. That inspection light is so bright, it picks up everything.

I am definitely anxious to get my front rock guards installed though to prevent any chips.
