iPhone 8 doesn’t charge on wireless pad

Anyone else experience this? It should work but it’s not working.

Did you try taking the rubber pad off the wireless charger. Personally I haven't been able to get any device that has wireless charge to work on that thing. lol..GM dropped the ball on that.

My Galaxy 7 works every time but I have to remove the cover from the phone. Honestly, it's easier to just plug it into the USB port which is no big deal for me as I typically run Android Auto anyway. Wish AA used a Bluetooth connection. Please put that on my Christmas wish list.

Same here. I never use the wireless charging since I have to take cover off my phone and it doesn't support Android Auto.

It's a useless feature in my opinion.

Not working for me either. It will be very disappointing if this doesn't work since it was a factor in purchasing my iphone 8.

Galaxy S8 works awesome on my pad, each and every time. Even works great in my new 2018 Equinox on the charging pad.

I have the same problem with my iPhone 8. I'm not 100% sure and I haven't done any further research but I've heard it doesn't work because only specific Apple approved wireless chargers will work for the iPhone 8.

S7 edge worked good, had to remove the rubber pad for constant connection. Since I"ve had the S8 its to big for that spot, but if you hit it just right with the rubber pad removed, you can get it to charge. I don't even bother anymore.

Silly question, but have you tried placing your phone the other way (think the end where you talk facing toward you or away from you)? Seems crazy, but I know with my Droid the direction that the bottom is facing matters. I didn't even know my phone charged wirelessly for a couple months but I put it back there facing a different way once and the green charging icon popped up. Hope you can get it to work, it's a great feature.

Why doesn't this surprise me! Another proprietary device needed made and sold by Apple for it to work! Got to love that company!

Having the same issue with iPhone 8 in my '17 Camaro. Tried with/with out case, both directions, not working. Will try removing rubber piece on the charging pad.

The iPhone wireless charging is supposed to be Qi compatible. In the limited research I did (Camaro manual), the charging pad is Qi rated.

Such a bummer... I hate cables.

It should work with any Qi charger (which is in Camaro), that's what Apple said during the launch.
