Thanks, I'm really happy with how it all came together. Now just need to enjoy it come spring!

When we first brought it home we used iron remover then clayed the entire car. To correct the paint I used Pinnacle Advanced Swirl Remover with a white Lake Country hybrid polishing pad. Worked in about 2'x2' sections at a time and made around eight section passes each time. I have a Flex XC 3401 dual action polisher. It is a very nice DA that has forced rotation so you can lean on it if necessary and it will not stall the rotation. After the swirl remover went to a softer black hybrid pad and the Pinnacle Advanced Finishing Polish. For smaller areas like the front and rear I used a smaller 4" pad. The Flex speed was set at 4.5-5 when using the swirl remover and 3.5-4 with the finishing polish. One periodic spray of Wolfgang polishing pad conditioner helps to keep the pad and polish from drying out too quick and lubricates really nice. It sure took a while, but I was being really careful and used a ton of blue painters tape to keep polish from getting in cracks between the panels, on any trim, lights, etc. Next year I am going to look into getting the paint professionally ceramic coated.

Nice! I've been looking for a black or grey 1le and you may have just made up my mind.

I think another nice little touch to the car would be black or gun metal (if you can find them) lug nuts.
Enjoyed reading your thread, beautiful car!

Thanks! Just a comment on black. Not sure about your situation, but our 1LE is not a daily driver and will be out only on nice days, so that helps with black. I’m OCD enough where if it was a daily driver I would have considered another color. Probably that grey!

Darker lug nuts are definitely something I am considering. Thanks for the compliments!

Thanks for the tip. I spend time on the auto geek forum too. Considering ceramic coating next year. Although, waxing for me is kind of therapeutic!

Good idea to check the torque on the lug nuts on a new car, mine were not at 140 lb ft
