Need help and advice!

Took delivery Saturday. Tomorrow at 1:00 will be 72 hours. It appears they creased the middle of the top of the trunk putting on the blade spoiler and the light in the spoiler is loose and rattles. Also, there is a small crease just above the front passenger wheel well.

This is driving me nuts. I am afraid the dealer will say you should have noticed it before you drove off. However, I looked the car over and was probably so excited I didn't notice it. I came straight home and parked it in the garage. I was outside admiring it and just noticed these things.

Purchased from Classic in Grapevine. Do you think they will fix these things. I have emailed my salesman waiting to hear back from him.

If not, should I drive the 2 hours to return the car tomorrow before my 72 hours is up?

I feel helpless.

You don't need to drive 2 hours to return the car. Just take it to your local dealer and they will fix it under warranty.

I had a similar situation and I had to get GM involved and go to a different dealer before the issue was addressed properly.

My advice is call the dealer and speak to the service manager. The salesman will tell you that he can't help with things post sale.

If that doesn't work, call GM immediately. Don't wait.

STEALTHMODE, could you send me your contact information and the dealer you're dealing with? I'd like to make sure this gets taken care of.

If the spoiler considered original equipment, the loose light would be a warranty item. But any damage done to the car during installation of the spoiler would not be covered by the GM warranty. Whoever caused the damage would have to be held responsible. I think you do have to make the 2 mile trip...

Thanks for the advice. I finally spoke with the Service Manager and the Salesman. They are going to fix everything and give me a loaner vehicle.

I believe once everything got set up, they went out of their way to accomadate me.

Thanks again.
