Yearly property tax and registration.

Just wondering what people are paying in states that require you to renew your tag and registration each year. Just registered my car today in Kansas and it was $798.

WOW. You pay that every year when you renew your license plate/registration?! I'm very spoiled in Texas.....All 3 of our vehicles (2013 MINI Cooper S / 1996 Viper GTS / 2007 Xterra 4x4) are around $80 it seems. I know it is low enough I just send in the check and don't think about it.

We get banged for sales tax by the state when we buy it, but after that, its gravy.

It's probably a little less than that per year in AZ. Here it is based on the cost of the vehicle the first year and then the current market value of the vehicle every year after that.

I paid $75 for three vehicles being out of South Carolina. Being in the military helps. Without the military as a profession, it would have cost me $1075 for the first year.

In Maine its about 3% of MSRP the first year!!!!! It goes down a little each Yr. for 8 yrs and levels off. My 05 M-B SL-600 STILL costs Me $800 a year!!!! AND we have THE WORST roads in America!!!!!

Well my previous car was a 2015 STi and at around 36k for it yearly tax was $832. Im guessing the Camaro being 45k is going to bump that up a bit. And I have to pay $1600 by March for sales tax.

Yearly property tax and registration.

Here in NY my registration was about $200 for two years... It depends on the type of car and age. It seems comparatively that I have a good deal!

Just renewed my registration in NY. It was $144 for 2 years! That's a real bargain compared to some other states.

In NC we have to pay taxes, inspections, and registrations at the same time.

In Ohio I paid $225.25 for two years. Guess I should feel fortunate.

Mine should be about $450/year for property tax in NC. $28/year for registration and $30 for inspection/year. I also will pay $30 extra on the registration/year for my customized plate. Hate property tax on a car!
