Camaro Stalled and wheel locked...

So earlier tonight I was driving my 2011 V6 Black Camaro, and while making a right turn the car stalled, the wheel locked (well it took me some force to make me not hit the curb), and the car turned off. I turned it back on and I made it to my destination a couple miles away. When I was leaving to come back home, it did the same thing! It restarted and I made it home safe, but I was wondering what would cause this to happen? Fuel pump? Electrical Problem? Oh yeah, and a couple weeks ago I notice that sometimes my car jerks at random times when accelerating.. what can cause that? I would really appreciate some help

That's what I'm going to do tomorrow.. the thing is I went to the dealer a couple weeks ago for an oil leak and they checked out everything else and said it was completely fine.

drive it to the dealer, let the steering wheel lock up, and crash it through their showroom to make your point.

Be careful how you describe things.
Your steering wheel really didn't "lock" did it?

You do realize your car has power steering, and as soon as the engine shuts off it makes it very difficult to turn the wheel.
But it is not locked, or impossible to steer in that condition.

As to why your car is shutting off, you might need to list more details.
Based on what you describe about the steering, your probably better off taking your car to the dealer and explain all the details to them.

The steering wheel can't lock with the key in and rotated so presume you are describing the loss of power steering when it shuts down. As far as the stalling, really can't help with info provided. Let the dealer do their thing or if you have a Check Engine Light at least go to autozone and get the codes for us to help.

We apologize for your frustrations. You may want to get this checked out at a dealership. Please let us know any updates.

Just a guess but could be bad gas. Did the car shutter, shake, hesitate prior to dying or did it just flat out stop w/o warning. Did the radio stay on after it stalled?

How many miles on it? I would definitely think about having it towed to the dealer instead of driving.

Perhaps when they were checking the oil leak they knocked something loose. Vibration could cause a loose plug wire to not make contact. Possibly. Could also be a bad injector. A spin to the dealer would be a good idea. They can check for any codes and see if they can find the source of the problem.

I'm guessing an electrical issue. Most of the stuff described in this thread would cause a car to run rough, not quit suddenly.
