First, I'm glad you're ok. They could have ended differently. My older brother was hit by a car in a similar way, swiped his side, and his car ended up rolling and landing on the roof. It's toast. Even if you could fix that it would never be right again. Hopefully insurance helps put you in a new one.

Second, I am 18. I got my car for my 17th birthday. While I respect the fact that you bought your own car, I have been here 7 months longer, driven my car for 16 months, and mine still looks (and smells) brand new.

Looks totaled man, sorry, that door, airbags, headlights, fascia, hood, radiator, steering rack/hub/shock/caliper/rim/tire, any other electrical wiring damage, front impact bar, sway bar, new interior pieces damaged by airbags, rocker, windshield 2 fenders, then paint, and I guarantee you something is bent up there. If you say the quarter is crinkled/bent, thats a lot more.

Grab your CAI lol. Glad you're allright, shop around for insurance after, try to argue the ticket in court, or at least get the judge to dismiss it and you pay a fine. The accident will fall off ur record in 5 years I think, insurance will go down when you are 25, and when you get married.

Yeah I'm going to attempt to get a reduced ticket. Just to make this known to everybody, I WAS NOT TEXTING I literally only looked down for a second, but a second is enough. At the end of the day, I'm just glad everybody was ok and as far as accidents go, this could have been much worse. The other guy's car was not nearly as bad as mine, My car hit a car, 2 trees, a hill and a ditch. It just slid like a figure skater on ice after the wheel came off. Also, Bel air Maryland for MD peoples.

I might actually try to sell the CAI intake lol might help pay some bills. SO anyone want a 2012 CAI CAI with no filter, but in working condition? ;D

Glad you're an honest person who will take responsibility. That'll take you a lot further than any camaro will.

It's totaled but you'll have a new camaro no worries.

The cars toast (well depends on who your insurance carrier is, any one of the big companies will total the car).
At 20 and now this, your insurance is gonna SKYROCKET.

Speed limit or less. Doesn't take much energy to tear off the left front during a head-on collision.

I didn't hit the guy head on, it was a sideswipe with his wheel hitting mine. Slid at 50mph for about 200 ft into 2 trees and 2 ditches. Hence damage.

You slid 200' and scrubbed no speed?

Something about the dynamics of this accident seem hinky. I mean, I'm a volunteer EMT, I've seen a few hundred of these and I'm sorry, but I'm not buying that you looked down for a split second and that somehow translated into a 200' slide that impacted a car and two trees.
