Cruised with a 2018 Mustang GT Today
Decided to drive the Camaro to work today on one of the last warmer days (55 degrees) of the season and after dodging potholes, big rigs who threw a rock at my windshield, and idiot drivers, I happened upon a brand new 2018 Mustang GT PP1 on the freeway.
We both had paper plates and that mustang looked really really good on the road despite all the hooplah over the new front end. I was behind him for a couple miles until the traffic cleared out then I down shifted and squirted up next to him. He looked at my car but wouldn't play. I juiced it a few times, but no go. So, I took off and just as I got into the lane for the off ramp, he throttled it and blew by me. Lol I had nowhere to go but I guess it made him feel better... Hahahaha Anyway, it looked really good but it still has huge wheel opening gaps and the PP1 wheels still have crappy offsets. |

The PP1 has some seriously ugly wheels. The optional 20s as well as the PP2 19s are much better.

But I liked my '15 s550 GT front end better. The hood isn't as nice either. That being said, it's still a nice car!

It was Magnetic (dark grey metallic) with the black PP1 wheels. |

I saw the new mustang at a car show recently in person, not a fan at all. The rear end is a slight improvement though.

Thought the new '18 Mustang was fugly when I saw it in person at the Charlotte Auto Show a few weeks ago. Front and back end just don't go together, something off about it.

Just like everything, everyone has different tastes. It took a while for people to warm up to the S550 and my guess is that after a while, the new styling will grow on folks. If not, ford will tweak it for next year.

I almost made the leap for the 18. They've really improved the S550 a lot and addressed many of the issues people were having with them. But I still can't get past that front fascia. I know the aftermarket will handle things but still...
