I do not quite understand what you are asking, no gas powered car charging system is a constant voltage, it varies between around 12.1 to around 14.7 volts depending on the state of the battery and the current demands being put on the charging system.

Never heard of it before but it looks like they do make 14v automotive batteries. You can get them from Summit. No clue what it takes to swap a smart system like our cars have to make it work though. Doesn’t seem like it would be worth the effort. Just keep a good battery in the car and keep the connections clean.

A quick read indicates shouldn't be a problem as you get what your after, faster starter, pumps, fans, etc. ( Fuel Pump is already managed so that would me exempt), better cooling on the return lane between passes. I have followed the threads since I bought mine new in 2013 and I do remember a lot of issues with the ECU, Body Control Module, and Suspension Control Module when you get outside 14.1 at run and less than 12 on the start. Hypothetically you are still running off of the 12vlt alternator, but my concern is if they drift with a variance on a 12vlt battery, what happens when it see's 14 all the time. I think that's the issue you have to solve. Good luck.. |

You might search through the Yellow Bullet forums a lot of racers and they have discussions on both 14 and 16 volts upgrades, although most of the 16 volt guys have dumped the alternator but you probably already knew that. https://www.yellowbullet.com/threads...ystem.1664673/ |

Could explain why this would or wouldn't work. But honestly I tired of inane questions and responses. You might have guessed that from my spinner wheels post...
