Finished Wrapping my Car
We finally finished wrapping my car a few weeks ago and I think it turned out great! I know a lot of people will comment on the color that they dont like it but I love it (and yes, Im a girl so it fits) Sorry, car is a little dirty from the rain today.
I ordered 60 ft of 3M and it was actually too much. Probably could have gotten away with 50 ft. Didn't end up wrapping the hood in purple. I actually just bought the hood a week before and it's currently primed. I am planning on wrapping it flat black when the weather warms back up a bit. I figured it was fine the way it is for now. Can't tell unless you're up close. It was about a total of 25 hours between two people and only $475. We ran into a lot of problems since we aren't professionals. This was the second car that we've wrapped. The first was a Silverado which was pretty easy. I would say that the front bumper was the worst, then the side panels. Wrapping the mirrors and handles was actually relatively easy, once removed. I've seen a lot people wrap and cut around the handles and I think it looks tacky. I know there's not a lot of posts with pictures showing the process but I do have them all if anyone is interested in the process. |

I think it looks good. Love it when people make it more personal to fit their personality.

looks great, especially since you did it yourself. You are probably more critical than others when looking at it. The hood looks good in black. I wonder if the vents in hood will wrap ok, will the wrap stretch enough to not tear.
Great job

I like the look. When I was working in the NFL, I couldn't understand how the heck guys were getting all kinds of whacky designs on their cars. Then one of them turned me on to what they were up to. Pretty slick.

This looks GREAT! I love the matte finish and the price can't be beat! I think I paid over $300 for my Heritage grille which only affects ~20% of the appearance but you did an entire make over for just a bit more. The fact that you did it yourself has got to put a nice stamp of personal pride every time you walk up to your custom ride! Well done!
Please post the process pics / Very interested.

I actually like the color especially in matte. Only thing I don't like is the bright green calipers with the purple. Looks good keep us updated if you end up doing anything with the hood.

Do you plan on doing anything to the front emblem? I noticed you did the rear one in purple.
I just realized you took those pictures at the Wal-Mart off 136th and I-25. I recognize the yellow and brown things in the parking lot and the Wells Fargo in the background. |
