ITs by Trans am Depot, they actually have the rights from SCCA to use the Trans am Name just like GM did.

chevy is cheap. and will always be. it's built for the masse.
pontiac was more upscale.

I Always liked the Camaro but I also thought the Trans Am/Firebird was a better looking car and I would have bought a 5th Gen Trans Am/Firebird over the Camaro.

long time ago :chevy is at the bottom, pontiac followed after it was olds, buick and finally cadillac.

rewind in the past chevy is for the everyday people, so it stays low$ you want more upscale you were spending more $ to get a buick. & on top it was cady.
still today basically the same car,cruise and the buick verano more finished inside and more insulated.

in 97 looking at the camaro ss compared to the trans am ws6 i like the product of pontiac i like the interior much better and the look of the t/a felt more aggressive compared to the ss. pontiac felt/look more sportier than chevy.

just compare the pick up world chevy vs gmc... gmc is more upscale in terms of better quality finish and materials..

pretty shure you compared the cars in that time chevy is basic. you want to go upscale now get a buick better fabrics,finish is better and cady is even better.

the camaro needs a solid refresh to bring it upscale interior wise , better materials and tight finish.

look at the steering wheel of the new impala it's so awful looking it's deceiving that chevy installed that ugly wheel. it looks like it's 1990 all over again.

ok i ordered a new 2014 camaro 1le. but i have no choice other than that.if pontiac was still around it would have been a t/a. but pontiac is dead so no fords and no dodge for me. no import also.

in saying that ,i didn't want to offend anyone .it's only my opinion. not degrading the new vette it's very nice.

Outside the Solstice and Fiero I can't remember a Pontiac model that wasn't a small variation on a Chevy (G8 was a Holden).

The name Pontiac invokes images of bolted on plastic, different badges and the same quality stuff as Chevy in a different pattern or illuminated red.
