IMO, over priced for a Sports sedan. But that is just my opinion. How much was the Pontiac G8 GXP, I don't think it maxed out over 40K? This is basically the same car, with a Chevy Logo on it and they want 44K for it.

Actually the G8 was over 40k maxed out, started at like 39,995. Take into account the SS MUCH improved interior, additional features, and 5 years of an inflation and that is really not that big of a hike.

Yeah straight line the srt8 will embarrass the SS. Hopefully it handles better because that's all it's going to have going for it in the comparo. If they come back next year and offer it with a lt1 and a stick I think it would be a good seller but for now I don't think it's sales will be strong even for a niche car. Even though it has a lot of things I would like to see changed I still really like it and would love to own one but I wont be able to for that kind of money....

Here's the thing.
Everyone wanted an SS model of this. This... ...is basically an Impala SS. V8, RWD, full size sedan, starting right where a fully loaded Impala LTZ V6 leaves off.

The Impala looks significantly better than the SS. The SS, in my opinion, is a bland looking car.

1) You need to see it in different colors.
2) It's a family car in Australia. It's not going to be super in-your-face.

Somehow, I don't think red, black or white are going to add a whole lot to the SS. That Mystic Green could be interesting though. I assume its a dark green of some kind?

Why can GM put the LSA into the new sedan overseas, but not here in the domestic market?!
