So much miss information here it's crazy...

No, you buy it or it goes to the next buyer!

If you don't think they can sell that car with ease you kidding yourself.

If your trying to sell it before its even yours they might not sell it to you.

This sounds like very bad advice really.

It's very much possible.... Shhh people from the DMV might be on here

I emailed him back today. Saying, I'm not buying it. I then sat down and cried.

Great car, wish I could have one, i.e., afford one, but c'mon, can't drive it on the road without extensive modifications and title change (which ruins the whole "value" of the car) n then you have to insure it and keep it somewhere.

If you want to save 1/2 the price of any recent COPO, just hold off a year or so and buy aftermarket, kind of like a time share, ha.
Hard pressed to find 69 buyers? They get over 1000 offers every time. You've been misinformed. No shit you can't drive them on the street. They are Stock Eliminator RACE CARS!. Turn-key, show up at an NHRA divisional race, and you have a chance to win a Wally. If you don't know what a Wally is then, you should not be posting in COPO threads.

It would have been cool to get it.
But I couldn't justify $120,000 on a car I can't drive on the street.
So why even put in a request? You knew the price beforehand and knew that it is not streetable. Makes ZERO sense.

I don't understand why you would ask to get in the game if you never intended to play.

Makes no sense to even enter if you have no desire to pay for it . This car is a win win.

If you want to race it...go for it possibly make some money bracket racing

If you want to sell it will easily get more than you spent. Easy profit.

I'm kind of flipping about this but oh well. The offer is good for 48Hrs for me to take them up on the offer..

Wow, only 69 of these are built a year.

Oh well.........

This is what I was thinking too. What can you get for a COPO Camaro with hardly no miles? I would find a way to come up with the cash and then try to sell the car for maybe $140K. Hell even if you only get $5K more than you paid for the COPO it would be worth it.

Does the GM deal say anything about having to hold onto the car for a certain amount of time b4 selling it?

GM has no say in what you do with the car once you own it. Sure they would like them all on the tracks, but the reality is that the majority of them won't ever see a track.

NHRA trophy for a class win.

Each COPO engine combo is class legal right off of the trailer to compete in certain hp/weight classes. Look at the letters on the window of the cars.

IF you tried to sell a COPO to me, and you said, hardly any miles...

...I'd probably walk away.

Who measures a race car in miles?

You measure it in passes.
