I would've checked the car right there on the spot, and if I saw damage then I'd call the cops immediately. You wouldn't have to say anything to the lowlife that caused the damage....just dial and ask for assistance. You really shouldn't get into confrontations in the street, as there are so many lunatics out there...anything could set someone off.

You have the right to protect yourself and defend your property, just use the right means of protection under the law and avoid fights. A fight would make your chances of recouping your loss much more difficult.

Its because of common situations in parking areas that I choose not to drive my significant cars for errands, to work or to places where a lot of cars will be parked. During the times that I have to be in a lot, my car(s) will be supervised. There's no foolproof method of totally avoiding moronic behavior, so exercise good judgment always when you park (and operate) your car.

There is no reading comprehension from anyone on this site.. I think a majority of us are tired of the BS macho "what I would have done".. tough guy nonsense... I too was in the military.. and currently LEO... You are taught defensive tactics... not how to fight...

and honestly.. lets talk about cars.. too much energy is being focused on people with short comings and their need to display their manliness with physical altercations or weapons... Like I said in an earlier post.. there is plenty of cell space for you to reflect how tough you are when you are in a pod with 60 other guys that have nothing to lose...

Depends on the situation sometimes you have to pick and choose your battles. You did the right thing by driving away. Some people are just looking for trouble.

Those are the ones that have nothing else better to do with their lives. You probably have a lot more to lose than that loser. Clearly he don't respect of people's space by no means. :(
