Hey guys. I have some BMR suspension stuff that I would like to have installed by a really solid/reputable local shop. Who do you guys take your ZL1/SS to around the Bay Area?

I do all my own work on the car, but I've heard a lot of people swear by Abel Chevrolet, they're definitely supportive of the performance enthusiast community.

That's actually where I had ordered my ZL1, but it never got built. I'm sure they're fine for warranty work, but idk about having them do modifications to the cars...anyone else chime in?

I concur with BadDawg. I've used Abel for warranty work not modification. However, Abel sponsors track events and my impression is they both know their stuff and would support upgrades. The downside is they're not super convenient being in Rio Vista.

Yea, it's a bit of a hike to get out there...but then again I take my Audi to 034 in Fremont or Euroclinic in Santa Clara and that's no fun either. Still, it's surprising that there are literally 10 euro shops around here to choose from, but zero domestic ones

I went to Elite Performance in Burlingame on the recommendation of a couple of folks (Honda and BMW peeps) for an alignment. Car came out great. They claim to have worked on a couple of 6th Gens before and the shop was full of track cars ( Cayenne, S2000 and a Supra).

I'll be back to them for another alignment after CC plates. Depending on how lazy I get, I may ask them to put the plates on at the same time...

So far so good. He got back to me quickly. I sent him the invoice from BMR showing the parts I ordered and he got back to me with a fair quote within 24hrs. Now im trying to schedule the install, so I'll let you all know if it goes well

I've asked this same question years ago for my 5th gen ZL1. Found out that there are no good shops because of stupid CA laws. I couldn't even find a muffler shop to do cat deletes. They said they wont touch it. Sick of this state. Cant wait to gtfo!
